FMA requires that all students possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must provide documentation verifying that they’ve graduated from high school or completed a course equivelent to high school.

Students are required to have portable hard drive(s) with at least 2TB (Filmmaking) or 500GB (3D Animation) of space, studio monitor headphones, and SD cards. FMA will provide all the necessary filmmaking equipment, books, computers, and software.
FMA does not provide housing. However, there are numerous housing options near the campus. Our staff will help students find accommodations that fit within their budget.

 

12-month Diploma in Film and Creative Media Arts

The TESDA accredited Diploma in Film and Creative Media Arts is a one year course consisting of four terms. Each term is 11 weeks long with a two week break in between terms. The diploma program focuses on the following core disciplines needed for any 21st century filmmaker:

  • Writing
  • Producing
  • Production Design
  • Directing
  • Cinematography
  • Audio Recording / Audio Post-Production
  • Editing / Visual Effects

Students create seven film projects throughout the one year course.Projects include: Short Films, Music Videos, TV Commercials, Documentary Films, TV Productions.

We round out the education with Cinema Studies classes to give the historical depth of telling stories with moving pictures, which started more than 120 years ago.

15-month 3D Animation NCIII

The TESDA accredited 15-month 3D Animation NCIII has as it’s main objective giving students the tools and experience necessary to work professionally in the fields of CG Animation, Digital Effects, Compositing, and Motion Graphics. Autodesk Maya, Adobe AfterEffects, and traditional media will all be explored in depth as part of the conception and completion of a thesis project by each student. Student projects will be executed using an efficient and industry-friendly 3D Production Pipeline which will prepare students for real-world employment situations. Students will learn how to pitch their shows, and have a chance to intern at a professional animation studio as part of their graduation requirements.
