Film & Media Arts International Academy in Cebu is eligible to accept students from the US military veterans under various VA programs including the Chapter 30, Chapter 31, Chapter 33 (otherwise known as the Post 9/11 GI Bill), Chapter 35 program and the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) program.

US military veterans can use their educational benefits to enroll in our Diploma in Film and Creative Media Arts or 3D Animation NCIII. All you need to do is fill up the application form and submit your USVA Certificate of Eligibility (COE), and we will do the rest.

FMA instructors are global filmmakers who share with you best practices from years of actual filmmaking experience that theoretical film schools may not be able to provide. So, you learn more in less time. And you will learn the craft on the same industry-standard equipment and gear currently used by filmmaking professionals.

Courses Offered: 

12-month Diploma in Film and Creative Media Arts

The TESDA accredited Diploma in Film and Creative Media Arts is a 12-month course consisting of four (4) terms. Each term is eleven (11) weeks long with a two-week break in between terms. The diploma program focuses on the following core disciplines needed for any 21st century filmmaker:

  • Screenwriting
  • Producing
  • Production Design
  • Directing
  • Cinematography
  • Audio Recording / Audio Post-Production
  • Editing / Visual Effects

Students create at least seven (7) film projects throughout the one year course. Projects include: Short Films, Music Videos, TV Commercials, Documentary Films, TV Productions.

We round out the education with Cinema Studies classes to give the historical depth of telling stories with moving pictures, which started more than 120 years ago.

 

15-month 3D Animation NCIII

The TESDA accredited 15-month 3D Animation NCIII provides students the tools and experience necessary to work professionally in the fields of CG Animation, Digital Effects, Compositing, and Motion Graphics. Autodesk Maya, Adobe AfterEffects, and traditional media will all be explored in depth as part of the conception and completion of a thesis project by each student. Student projects will be executed using an efficient and industry-friendly 3D Production Pipeline which will prepare students for real-world employment situations. Students will learn how to pitch their shows, and have a chance to intern at a professional animation studio as part of their graduation requirements.
